Every website should tell a story. Here’s mine.
I originally offered website design and Facebook business packages after a job layoff. But I didn’t know how to market my services and I didn’t have enough savings to cover bills while I built a business. I accepted the first full-time job offer I got.
At first, I really liked my day job. I learned cool stuff and who doesn’t love a steady paycheck? But as time went on too much of my time was spent in project planning activities that didn’t feel like the best use of my talents.
I wanted more. I had a creative and entrepreneurial itch.
I tried a few side hustles. I purchased programs to make money designing t-shirts, writing Kindle books, and running a Facebook ad agency. I always spent more money on 'business blueprints' or advertising than I earned.
Nothing was working, so I changed my approach.
First, I stopped following other people’s programs for making money. Their business model was designed for them, not for me. Don’t try to use something designed for someone else.
Second, I discovered from one of my clients that the simple formula of a website and a strong Google Business Listing was enough to attract new customers. My ‘tile guy’ client said I had made him “so much money” and they had “tons of business.” If this formula worked for his business, it could work for me and more importantly it could work for my future customers.
And that’s when I created Bold Venture Design. A company that can help you navigate from where you are to the online business success you seek.
